XLogo for OS/2
Version 1.0 by Antonino Iannella, July 17th, 1996
Congratulations for choosing XLogo! It is my own version of the XLogo which is
shipped with all quality versions of X-Windows (R). I made this, firstly
because I really love the X-Windows XLogo; to me it is the symbol of an
excellent system. So, I thought it was high time OS/2 users could have one! I
also gained experience in basic PM window creation, window messages, GPI
graphics using paths, pop-up menus, and dialog boxes.
Installation and use
To run XLogo, you probably need OS/2 Warp or later. Decompress the archive,
moving all files to your directory of choice. Run the XLinst.CMD batch file to
create a desktop object. Double click on the desktop object to run XLogo. For
source-code hungry people, the sub-package XLSRC.ZIP may be of interest. If
not, delete it.
Now you will see the famous X logo, just as good as the X Windows equivalent.
Press the right mouse button for the pop-up menu.
Choose About (or F1) for product information.
Choose Exit (or F3) to quit.
Comment to me on the excellent pictures. The OS/2 Warp one was by Stefan
Gombar.
To uninstall XLogo, simply remove the desktop object, and all files from the
directory in which they reside.
ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ 2. Registration ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ
XLogo is provided as a fully-functional product, with no limitations. However,
it is shareware. If you really like it, or intend to somehow use the source
code, then please be kind enough to register by sending any monetary donation,
like
$5 Australian
to the Antonino Iannella Fund for the financially deprived. This will ensure
that precious development efforts will continue. In return, you will receive
excellent customer support, for any query or problem, and be notified of new
releases.
XLogo remains the property of the author. It is freely distributable on any
medium or site. All files from the XLogo.zip archive must be intact when
distributed. I do not guarantee the software's reliability, although I would
appreciate being informed of any problems anyone may have. Any damage or loss
incurred as a result of using this software is NOT the author's responsibility.
Microsoft employees and their families must pay US$1 000 000 in registration
for every copy they possess.
