  4. This program serves for the installation of the WPS extension WPSAM on the 
  5. workplace shell of OS/2 2.1.

  7. Do the following:

  9. o Select Install 
  10.  
  11. o Select whether to use Init OS/2 also. 
  12.  
  13. o Select destination directories for the files. 
  14.  
  15. o Confirm the changes to your CONFIG.SYS 
  16.  
  17. o Reboot your system

  33. Select this pulldown item to install the necessary files.

  35. This installs the necessary file(s) and WPSAM is activated.

  40. Selecting this pulldown item will remove WPSAM completely from your system.

  42. Because extensions to the WPS are not user removable we provide you with this 
  43. menu item.

  45. In order to find all installed files and changed entries in CONFIG.SYS this 
  46. install program saves some data in OS2SYS.INI. They will be removed during 
  47. deinstall also. Don't remove them manually; automatic deinstall will not be 
  48. possible later then.

  50. Anmerkung:  Change to the root desktop when deinstalling !

  115. o Install Drive

  121. InitOS2 could be installed together with WPSam. This program gives the 
  122. advantage to select a desktop during the boot phase of the computer already. 
  123. Because it is possible to protect every desktop by a password, this program can 
  124. be used as a access protection.

  127. ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ 5.1. Install Drive ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ

  129. Choose the drive where the install disk is inserted. This drive should have the 
  130. same format as your OS/2 install disk set.

  132. If you want to install it from another disk, note: 
  133.  
  134. o File OS2DRVR must be in the ROOT directory 
  135.  
  136. o If you are prompted to insert an OS/2 install disk you are able to abort and 
  137.   install using another install drive without being prompted for the driver 
  138.   disk again.

  143. Choose the drive where to install the driver. This must be the same drive where 
  144. your OS/2 is installed.

  146. Change Config changes the CONFIG.SYS on this drive later.

  149. ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ 5.3. Installation of InitOS2 ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ

  151. If you check this item, the INITOS2.EXE application will be installed also. You 
  152. will be asked for a user name and, if given, a password. Using this information 
  153. the corresponding desktop will be started.

  156. ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ 6. Configuration Changes ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ

  158. This window shows the changes CDINST will make to your CONFIG.SYS. 
  159.  
  160. The lines from the beginning up to the line "--- CDROM Configurations ---" are 
  161. the existing lines in your CONFIG.SYS which have to be modified by CDINST. 
  162.  
  163. The lines below are new lines added by CDINST. The leading line "--- CDROM 
  164. Configurations ---" will be placed also to CONFIG.SYS if at least one new line 
  165. is added.

  170. This window is used to select the following paths: 
  171.  
  172. o DLL-Path 
  173.  
  174. o HLP-Path 
  175.  
  176. o EXE-Path

  178. THe selection of DLL-Path and HLP-Path is from those directories given in in 
  179. CONFIG.SYS in the LIBPATH or HELPPATH statement. The target directory for EXE 
  180. and Document files could be entered as wanted and will be created if it doesn't 
  181. exist.

  186. Select the directory where to install the DLL file.

  188. Because of WPS internals only directories already listed in the LIBPATH 
  189. statement could be chosen. The "." directory could not be used.
