Esther, I suggest that all msgs here that start new threads be posted to you.
That will make it easier for you to moderate our discussion to keep it
focused. It also will make it easy for you to "prune" threads from this
section to eliminate topic drift.
I'm going to start some threads based on Chapter 1, to get the discussion
started. Then I'll be back later this week, after Christmas day, to see what
happened. <s>

No, I don't think anybody has to address the messages to me. This is an open
discussion -- as the moderator, I'm just the person who tries to keep people
on track.
I don't even have message board flags here... though if I *really* wanted to
have a message subject changed I could always stomp into the room next door
and say something like, "Bill, you'll never get sex again unless you change
that thread topic!"
(Fortunately for Bill, I've never been *that* fussy about thread names.)
However, this is a good time to announce that the section has:
<The bells chime, the audience cheers>
A section archivist!
Yes, Scot Ryder (in what was surely a moment of weakness), has agreed to keep
the messages posted in this section and upload them (weekly or so) to the
forum library. This way, if something untoward *does* happen and someone can't
log in for a couple of days, or if they happen to show up late, they won't
have lost track of the conversation.
(A round of applause for Scot would be appropriate right about now.)

Thank you, thank you, no please that isn't necessary (he says to quiet the
applause).
But seriously, I'll be personally storing the sections messages so if anyone
needs a look back please contact me. I'll also be uploading each weeks
discussion as a single file.
