  46. The TWCP application is a simple Presentation Manager application which let you 
  47. Mark, Copy and Paste text and graphics from a DOS or OS/2 Window using the 
  48. mouse, like in X Windows, without passing through the system menu.

  90. With OS/2 V 2.11 the TWCP can only be Minimized to Viewer, this is a problem of 
  91. the Service Pack :-(, with other versions of OS/2 you can Hide, Minimize to 
  92. Viewer or to Desktop as usual.

  125.  To install TWCP copy TWCP.EXE in a directory in your PATH, TWCPHOOK.DLL in a 
  126.  directory in your LIBPATH and TWCP.HLP in a directory in your HELP path.

  133. TWCP has the following syntax:

  135.      TWCP [/? | /H] [/L[1,2,3,A,S,C]]

  139.  /? /H     Print this help. 
  140.  /L        Enable Low It option

  145. This option is enabled with the /L[opt] switch in the command line. 
  146.  
  147. When this option is enabled you can low a window, putting it below all windows, 
  148. clicking with Button 2 on its Title Bar. 
  149.  
  150. You can use the following modifiers to the option: 
  151.  
  152.  1         Use mouse button 1. 
  153.  2         Use mouse button 2 (default). 
  154.  3         Use mouse button 3. 
  155.  C         Use CTRL key with mouse. 
  156.  A         Use ALT key with mouse. 
  157.  S         Use SHIFT key with mouse.

  159.  Note:  /L1 isn't a valid option! 
  160.  
  161.  sample:  TWCP /L3AC will enable the option using button 3 with ALT and CTRL 
  162.  keys.

  164.  Warning: When this option is enabled, applications' title bar will not see the 
  165.  button click: if a pop up menu is associated with a click of the button on the 
  166.  title bar, it will never be activated.

  168.  Note:  This option is not saved with the program profile, it must be specified 
  169.  every time TWCP is executed to have effect.

  174. This section explain how to use TWCP.

  177. ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ 8.1. Enabling ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ
  178.  
  179. To enable TWCP you should: 
  180.  
  181.   1. Select the mouse button with which you want to Mark and Copy, checking the 
  182.      corresponding radio button. 
  183.   2. Chose which control key(s) (Shift, Alt, Ctrl) you would like to use 
  184.      together with the mouse to Mark and Copy, checking the corresponding check 
  185.      button. 
  186.   3. Select the mouse button with which you want to Paste checking the 
  187.      corresponding radio button. 
  188.   4. Chose which control key(s) (Shift, Alt, Ctrl) you would like to use 
  189.      together with the mouse to Paste, checking the corresponding check button. 
  190.   5. Enable TWCP clicking on the ENABLE button.

  192.  Now you can start to use TWCP.

  197. To Disable TWCP you should click on the DISABLE button.

  202. To Mark and Copy a portion of text in a DOS or OS/2 Text window you should do 
  203. the following: 
  204.  
  205.   1. Press the Mark and Copy control key(s). 
  206.   2. Click the Mark and Copy mouse button where you want to start marking. 
  207.   3. Drag the mouse, holding down button and key, till the end of the portion 
  208.      of text you want to mark. Now the zone should be highlighted. 
  209.   4. Release the Mark and Copy mouse button. 
  210.   5. Release the Mark and Copy key. 
  211.  
  212.  The text or graphics you marked is automatically copied to the Clipboard. 
  213.  
  214.  Note:  If you release the control key(s) before releasing the mouse button, 
  215.  you remain in mark mode. To complete the operation, restart from point 1.

  218. ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ 8.4. Pasting ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ

  220. To Paste from the Clipboard you should do the following: 
  221.  
  222.   1. Press the Paste control key(s). 
  223.   2. Click the Paste mouse button in the window in which you want to paste. 
  224.   3. Release the Paste mouse button. 
  225.   4. Release the Paste key. 
  226.  
  227.  The text or graphics is automatically pasted to the window. 
  228.  
  229.  Warning: You should hold down the control key(s) till the paste operation is 
  230.  completed, otherwise the text program could loose the release of the control 
  231.  key(s).

  234. ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ 9. How it works ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ
  235.  
  236. TWCP works installing a system hook that intercepts every mouse message posted. 
  237. If the message is directed to a DOS or OS/2 Text Window, that has a window 
  238. class of type Shield, or to a Entry Field, #6 and #10 classes, and it is a 
  239. Mark, Copy or Paste key combination, the messages for Mark, Copy or Paste are 
  240. send to the window.

  242. Warning: Because the program relies on the class name, and there can be other 
  243. windows with class name Shield that aren't DOS or OS/2 Text Windows, the 
  244. program can fail with those windows. 
  245. The fields Class and Parent show the class name of every window in which the 
  246. mouse is clicked. 
  247. If you find a program that makes fail TWCP please let me know.

  252. Use these buttons to select which mouse button and control key(s) you want to 
  253. use for Mark and Copy operations.

  297. Check this button if you want that TWCP eliminate the last Carriage Return in 
  298. paste operations.

  300. Note:  If you have selected Shift as control button for paste operations, the 
  301. Carriage Return is automatically removed.

  304. ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ 18. Enable Entry Fields Copy and Paste ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ

  306. Check this button if you want that TWCP works also with Entry Fields. 
  307.  
  308. Note:  This option works with Entry Field ("#6") and Multi Line Entry Filed 
  309. ("#10") classes. 
  310.  
  311. Warning: If you enable this option, applications' Entry Field will not see the 
  312. mouse click TWCP uses: if a popup menu is associated with that mouse click, it 
  313. will never be activated.
