  1. This archive contains three versions of Telegraf/2, an OS/2 network messaging program, designed to be a drop-in replacement for the default Network Messaging program supplied in Warp.

  3. Each version has its own archive. Please unzip the version you wish to try.

  5. V1.50 Simple, few features, suits small LANs
  6.     - Quick Reply button on message popup
  7.     - Reply automatically to sender or type in new destination
  8.     - Delete button on message popup, message read, send a reply (even delete the original)
  9.     - fewer screens
  10.     - RMB popup menus and keyboard shortcuts
  11.     - Multiple selection of messages in main window
  12. Recommended for NETBIOS peer networks up to approx 10 stations eg SOHO and home LANs
  13.  
  14. v2.20 Adds features such as
  15.     - INF & HLP files (there's more to think about now)
  16.     - Remembers window position and size, split bar position - "set and forget" windows.
  17.     - Fast type-in of destination to send (Default Reply To is the original Sender)
  18.     - Extensive Message management
  19.     - Confirmation on close - user configurable
  20.     - Message statistics in title bar and OS/2 window list ** Registered version only **
  21.     - Starts requester service if necessary
  22.     - NO POPUP OVER A DOS OR OS/2 FULL SCREEN SESSION 
  23.         only a beep, and a PM popup waiting for you when YOU choose to read it.
  24.     - Configurable Message Log file: defaults to <bootdrive>:\IBMLAN\LOGS\MESSAGES.LOG
  25.     - Advance warning of message arrival: does not take focus immediately - popup waits up to 2 seconds
  26.     - run a program on various events ** Registered version only **
  27.     - Drag a message to Desktop to save, or select Message... Save As
  28.     - Subject line in messages
  29.     - Mini window to save screen space

  32. v3.31 adds more program events - play WAV files etc.

  34. All versions can successfully send to a Windows 3.x WinPopup merssage box, but WinPopup does not necessarily support all the above features.

  36. Note that Telegraf/2 is distributed as shareware. If you use it for a reasonable amount of time, you are requested to register. See the documentation in each package for details.
