  4. RouteXpander/2 Remote Install feature allows for the installation of 
  5. RouteXpander/2 product on a workstation without the need for the product 
  6. diskettes.

  9. ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ 1.1. Installing RouteXpander/2 on the Server ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ

  11. RouteXpander/2 Remote Install feature allows for the installation of 
  12. RouteXpander/2 on a workstation without the need to have the product diskettes.

  14. This program will copy the files on the RouteXpander/2 diskettes into the 
  15. directory specified.

  20. You may enter the path on the server where the RouteXpander/2 product files are 
  21. to be copied or accept the default path shown in the entry field.

  33. reinstall an installed option, or to install another option, check the

  36. These options may be installed after installation of the RouteXpander/2 base 
  37. files, or at anytime thereafter when starting the Installation and 
  38. Configuration program from the workstation hard drive.

  40. Please ensure that you have the appropriate diskette(s) for the options 
  41. selected.

  46. Select this option to install the files required to enable the X.25 sub-system.

  66. This panel allows you to specify the SRVIFS configuration parameters used by 
  67. the RouteXpander/2 Remote Server function.

  69. These values are stored in the SERVICE.INI file on one of RouteXpander/2 base 
  70. directories.

  75. A NetBIOS name uniquely identifying this Remote Server is required for

  77. character alphanumeric name that this server is to be know by on the network.

  82. This box contains a list of the logical adapters currently bounded by LAPS. 
  83. Select the adapter to be used by the Remote Server for communicating with

  89. Specifies the maximum number of clients that are allowed to concurrently 
  90. connect to this server per adapter. Valid values are 1 to 100.

  95. Specifies the maximum number of files that the server may have open 
  96. concurrently. The default is 100, the maximum is 9999.

  98. This value should be at least as large as the number of concurrent clients that 
  99. are expected to attach.  In come cases, a single client may have more than one 
  100. file open at a time, in which case you may want to specify a value equivalent 
  101. to 3 to 4 files per client.

  106. This panel is displayed when the Server Installation Utility is started from 
  107. the hard disk rather than from diskette, and provides the functions necessary 
  108. for upgrading RouteXpander/2 base and Optional Support files.

  110. It also allows you to install a CSD (Corrective Service Diskette) for later 
  111. access by RouteXpander/2 clients.

  113. You may also view or modify some of the Remote Server configuration parameters.
