OS/2 File descriptions for 4DOS/4OS2, version 1.00
Compiled by Aaron Tiensivu [tiensivu@student.msu.edu]
═══════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════
IBM neglected to describe what each file does once installed on your system, so
I decided to dig through these files, constructing a fairly accurate account of
what each file does. Any file that is not described by this package, but is
installed on your system, was not installed on my system. Examples of such
files would be any drivers pertaining to MCA architecture machines and S3
screen drivers.
These descriptions are based off of OS/2 2.1 + SP. To view the descriptions
under 4OS2, it may be necessary to use the /Z toggle when using DIR.
I considered including many 3rd party utilities descriptions but decided
against it since I wanted to keep these files as close to a "stock" installed
system as possible.
═══════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════
4DOS/4OS2 descriptions are stored in a file named "DESCRIPT.ION". Normally,
these have the hidden file attribute flagged. Since I do not trust any ZIP
file that contains files with the 'hidden' attribute flagged, these files
are distributed as normal files. You can reapply the hidden flag once unZIPped
without any side effects.

How to use this ZIP file:
Change to the root drive of your OS/2 boot drive.
If using PKUNZIP v2.04g [DOS], type "PKUNZIP -d OS2FD_10", without the quotes.
If using UNZIP [OS/2], type "UNZIP OS2FD_10", without the quotes.

If you know the use and application of a file that OS/2 installed on your
system and has not been included in this package, please contact me with a
brief description of what that file does. MCA machines and S3 machines
especially. I need your help to make this project as complete as it can be.
This file is distributed under the MailWare concept. If you enjoyed this
project, or have a suggestion, please contact me.
