  1. One floppy 1.44 OS/2 IP Router. v1.0.

  4. Warning!! All stuff here is NOT licensed and UNLEGAL!
  5. Don't use if you are not IBM OS/2 customer!
  6.  
  7. To install, insert floppy into drive and do:
  8. loaddskf os2_r144.dsk a: /f
  9.  
  10. Router working fine on any 386+ PC with 8mb RAM.
  11.  
  12. Floppy image os2_r144.dsk contains:
  13.  
  14.  - OS/2 Warp 3.0 build 8.209 (OS/2 Warp Connect) kernel and minimal set
  15.    of DLLs & drivers. (now without HDD driver IBM1S506.ADD !).
  16.  
  17.  - BOS2SHL.EXE - multitask session manager from BOOTOS2 program.
  18.  
  19.  - LAN drivers for noname ISA NE2000 and PCI Realtek 8029 cards.
  20.  
  21.  - TCP/IP Stack 4.02w (only tcpipdll.dll from 4.02k).
  22.  
  23.  - ifconfig.exe, route.exe and ipgate.exe - from TCP/IP Stack 4.02w.
  24.  
  25.  - netstat.exe, ping.exe, rexecd.exe, ftpd.exe - from TCP/IP v2.0.
  26.  
  27.  - Tiny selfmade sshell.exe - secure shell with login/password checking.
  28.  
  29.  - Tiny selfmade reboot.exe.

  31. Configuration:

  33.  0. By default, in config.sys - login=madded, password=test123.
  34.  
  35.  1. Remove unused LAN drivers from \IBMCOM\MACS\ and copy your own drivers.
  36.     Only *.os2 files need!
  37.     Before copying pack drivers with "lxlite /jP /n+ /t /zs"
  38.  
  39.  2. Remove unused LAN drivers from \config.sys, and add loading of your own,
  40.     like "DEVICE=\IBMCOM\MACS\drivername".
  41.  
  42.  3. Change \IBMCOM\protocol.ini for your LAN drivers.
  43.     (default settings for NE2000 - Port=300/IRQ=5, RTL8029 - P&P)
  44.  
  45.  4. Change IP interfaces and routing configuration in \tcpip.cmd for your needs.
  46.  
  47.  5. Change \ETC\resolv2 if you need hostname & ip address resolving.
  48.     In other case you may delete this file.
  49.  
  50.  6. If you want to remote control your router via REXEC:
  51.  
  52.      - Change SET USER= and SET PASSWD= in \config.sys to your login/password.
  53.  
  54.      - Uncomment "detach \MPTN\BIN\rexecd.exe" string in \tcpip.cmd.
  55.  
  56.      - Look into Rexec\ directory for IBM REXEC client/2.
  57.  
  58.  7. If you want to manage your router via FTP:
  59.  
  60.      - Change user/password and restrictions in \ETC\trusers.
  61.  
  62.      - Uncomment "detach \MPTN\BIN\ftpd.exe" string in \tcpip.cmd.
  63.  
  64. If you need more free space on floppy, you can delete any unnecessary .exe 
  65. files: ping.exe, netstat.exe, ftpd.exe, ftpdc.exe, rexecd.exe, reboot.exe
  66. or even bos2shl.exe (with changing "protshell=\cmd.exe" in \config.sys).
  67.  
  68. Before adding any file into floppy, pack it with lxlite utilite.
  69. All .exe and .dll packing with "lxlite /n+ /t /zs"
  70. and any .os2, .sys, .dmd, .flt, .ifs or other drivers with
  71. "lxlite /jP /n+ /t /zs".

  74. http://zuko.istu.udm.ru/ftp/mo/cd/os2.arc/tools/arc/lxlt121.zip

  76. You can also put all needed files into HDD and add IBM1S506.ADD driver to
  77. floppy. Or mount net drive with files from OS/2 server via SRVIFS for TCP/IP.
