  2. LDSECID Package
  3.  
  4. LAN Distance now supports the interface to a Secure ID ACE server for
  5. user ID authentication.  This support provides a LAN Distance Security
  6. Exit for the remote workstations and connection server. The connection
  7. server communicates to the Secure ID ACE server via a TCP/IP socket
  8. interface. The LAN Distance Secure ID support requires that the
  9. Secure ID ACE server be an RS6000 with AIX Version 3.25 or higher.
  10. However, source code will be made available, on an as is basis, for
  11. those that wish to interface the support to other operating environments.

  13. The README file in LDSECID ZIPBIN contains the installation
  14. instructions. This ZIP file should be unzipped with the -D option
  15. to create subdirectories. There are installation instructions for
  16. installing the Secure ID support on the LAN Distance remote workstations,
  17. LAN Distance connection server, and the ACE server.

  19. Requirements:
  20. - This support is intended for the English version of LAN Distance only.
  21. - IP07050 must be installed on the LAN Distance remote and connection
  22.   server.
  23. - Secure ID ACE server must be an RS6000 running AIX 3.25 or higher.

  28. normal support channels.
