  39. This copy of LAN Administrator is a 
  40. demonstration copy.  It is fully 
  41. functional and does not employ any 
  42. 'crippling' or 'annoying' gimmicks. 
  43. This version is slower than the 
  44. Registered version because it uses 
  45. 16bit REXX and the OS/2 LAN Server 
  46. command-line interface rather than 
  47. the Network APIs.  The registered 
  48. version (in production now) will 
  49. be a 32 bit program that uses the 
  50. Network API's and is therefore much 
  51. faster.  The registered version will 
  52. also have some additional features 
  53. that are not available with the 
  54. demonstration version, due to being 
  55. accessible only through the APIs 
  56. (Network User Logon Assignments are 
  57. one example).  The registered 
  58. version will also contain fewer 
  59. 'support files'(.ico, .bmp, etc.) 
  60. so it will be easier to manange.

  62. LAN Administrator is planned to 
  63. grow in three major steps (with 
  64. patches and fixes as needed). 
  65. These steps are:

  72.     32bit OS/2 Application (still

  120.   LAN Administrator as a regular part of 
  121.   their duties, and another user uses it 
  122.   on an infrequent basis (say less than 
  123.   once a week),then only one copy needs 
  124.   to be purchased.
