Kitchen Assistant/2 Ver 1.2
The ingredient editor screen has been changed. I hope that it is easier to
use. The screen opens in the edit mode with the edit box opened at the
first field with any ingredients already entered displayed. After
entering new or editing text in the edit box press return or tab to move to
the next field. Shift-tab moves to the previous field. To delete or insert
lines first select the line(s) then press the desired function button at
the bottom on the screen. To insert a header leave the qty and measure
field empty and type the header text in the ingredient field. Then press
the header button. To open the edit box on a field other than the first
field, place the mouse cursor over the field you want to edit and hold down
the Alt key and click the left mouse button. See the on line help for
further details.
To place all the titles in the recipe into the listbox, it's no longer
necessary to check the "all Title" checkbox, then press the search button.
The checkbox has been replaced by a pushbutton "List All", that starts the
search for all titles and places them in the listbox.
User can now define the Unit Of Measure that will be used for display and
printing. This will enable users in country that do not use English as the
primary language to change the UOM to the language of choice. All the user
has to do is enter the abbreviation, the long name and any variations to be
used in place of the standard KA/2 UOM's. The standard KA/2 UOM will still
be used for exported recipes and for internal use by KA/2. This will allow
recipes to be exchanged without concern to the language used for UOM by the
exporter.
Most of the above changes were suggested by KA/2 user (both registered and
non-registered). Keep the suggestion coming in, I want to make KA/2 as
useful and user friendly possible. I can only do this if I hear from all
of you, even if you do not like KA/2, tell me why.
