  2. ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ 1. System Start-up/Shutdown Options ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ

  4. Use the System Startup/Shutdown task to restart, shutdown, power up, or wake 
  5. wake-on-LAN systems remotely. 
  6.  
  7. To configure your System Startup/Shutdown scheduled event, select the System 
  8. Startup/Shutdown action you want to take from the System Startup/Shutdown 
  9. Options window, and then select OK and continue configuring the scheduled 
  10. event.

  12. The following System Startup/Shutdown Options are available. 
  13.  
  14.    o  Attempt System Restart 
  15.  
  16.       This option attempts to restart any systems you specify, exactly as if 
  17.       you had selected Restart System from each system's context menu in Remote 
  18.       System Manager.  This action will only complete successfully if you have 
  19.       access to the remote system's Security Manager service. 
  20.  
  21.    o  Attempt System Shutdown 
  22.  
  23.       This option attempts to shutdown the operating system of any systems you 
  24.       specify.  This action will only complete successfully if the remote 
  25.       system is running Windows 3.1, Windows 95, Windows NT 3.51 or later, or 
  26.       NetWare and if you have access to the remote system's Security Manager 
  27.       service.

  29.    o  Attempt System Wake-Up 
  30.  
  31.       This option attempts to wake all specified systems that are enabled to 
  32.       support Wake-on-LAN. 
  33.  
  34.    o  Attempt System Power Down 
  35.  
  36.       This option attempts to power down all specified systems.  This feature 
  37.       will only complete successfully on systems running Windows 95 that have 
  38.       Advanced Power Management enabled and on which you have access to the 
  39.       Security Manager service.
