ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ 4. Key Assignments for Remote Session ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ
Remote Session usually passes all keystrokes through to the remote session, but
exceptions are made for some system keystrokes on the local system.
Alt+Esc
Switch to the next open window, full-screen session, or icon that is
minimized on the desktop.
Alt+Shift+Tab
Make the desktop window active.
Ctrl+Alt+Del
Restart the operating system on the local system.
Ctrl+Esc
Display the Window List on the local system.
Print Screen
Print the contents of the remote window to the default local printer.
If you are using Remote Session on a remote system that is running Client
Services for Netfinity for NetWare, these additional key combinations are
available to you:
Alt+F3
Switches to the next NetWare screen. The "+" key on your numeric keypad
will perform the same function.
Alt+F4
Switches to the previous NetWare screen. The "-" key on your numeric
keypad will perform the same function.
Note: Remote Session cannot pass through the Ctrl+Esc keystrokes that would
ordinarily bring up the NetWare Current Screens list. You cannot access the
Current Screen list with Remote Session.
ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ 5. Remote Session General Help ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ
If you are using Remote Session on a remote system that is running Client
Services for Netfinity for OS/2, Remote Session will use the same commands as
the default OS/2* command shell CMD.EXE. To end an OS/2 command session, type
EXIT at the command prompt.
If you are using Remote Session on a remote system that is running Client
Services for Netfinity for Windows, Remote Session will use the same commands
as the remote system's DOS COMMAND.COM. To end a Windows command session, type
EXIT at the command prompt.
If you are using Remote Session on a remote system that is running Client
Services for Netfinity for NetWare, Remote Session will enable you to take over
the System Console of a remote NetWare server. This function is similar to the
remote console capabilities of the RCONSOLE.EXE utility, included with NetWare.
You can use Remote Session to load and unload NLMs remotely, and to check the
status of all currently available screens. To end an NetWare command session,
close Remote Session window.
