  1. Dear DatagLANce Network Analyzer User:

  3. The latest level of DatagLANce code has just been sent to you.
  4.  
  5. If you do not own a DatagLANce Network Analyzer, this package will be of no use
  6. to you, since the DatagLANce key-lock is required for operation.  You can
  7. purchase the DatagLANce Network Analyzer through PCWARES for a nominal fee.
  8. (World Trade Orders: Order through your standard channels).
  9.  
  10. Support for PCWARES orders is through the DGLANCE FORUM on the
  11. IBMLAN conferencing disk ONLY.  If you want to purchase a support contract,
  12. send a note to DGNA at RALVM29 requesting such.
  13.  
  14. The installation process is:
  15.  
  16. 1. Download the files in BINARY format to your hard disk.
  17. 2. Format four (4) 1.44 MB diskettes.
  18. 3. Issue the following command for each diskette:
  19.  
  20.    LOADDSKF DGNAGADx.DSK A: /F
  21.  
  22.    where x is 1,2,3, or 4.
  23.  
  24.    WARNING: DO NOT OVERWRITE YOUR MASTER DATAGLANCE DISKETTES.
  25.             IF YOU HAVE ENABLED KEYLESS OPERATION, YOUR DATAGLANCE
  26.             MAY BECOME UNUSEABLE.  USE 4 NEW BLANK DISKETTES TO
  27.             REFRESH YOUR DATAGLANCE DISKETTES.

  29. 4. Insert your DatagLANce key into your parallel port (ignore this step if you
  30.    have run KEYLESS).
  31. 5. At an OS/2 FULL SCREEN prompt type:

  33.    A:INSTALL
  34.  
  35. 6. Follow the installation instructions given to you by the installation
  36.    program.
  37. 7. Read the READ.ME file for information on how to install and configure your
  38.    network adapter(s). This file is installed with the software and is also
  39.    on installation diskette 1.
  40. 8. Use your DatagLANce! See online help for information on how to use
  41.    it and any new features that you might not know about.
  42. 9. If you experience problems, see the READ.ME file for troubleshooting
  43.    installation problem information.
