HEXPLANATION: the device driver SSMDD.SYS was not loaded on boot up. The most probable reason is, that there is no line reading like DEVICE=<path>\SSMDD.SYS in your CONFIG.SYS file. It's a good idea to load this driver since it costs only little memory and has lots of benefits even if you don't use MMPM/2. The driver is contained in the OS/2 multimedia extensions MMPM/2.

  18. HEXPLANATION: the video presentation driver used in your system doesn't support aperture calls. On every video card I know of it's save to assume the standard EGA/VGA video memory location.
  19. HEXPLANATION: testing the video performance means testing the access to graphics memory. Some video cards allow access to graphics memory only if graphics mode is active. To ensure this run the test program in a OS/2 text window with active PM.
  20. HEXPLANATION: the detection of the type of CPU used in your system failed and so did the calculation of the CPU clock speed. This may be due to a CPU type not anticipated in this version of the program or be caused by a disabled CPU internal cache. If the latter is not the case, please contact the author of DFB/2, D.Engert (email to engert@ibm.net or 2:2490/2576.1@fidonet).
