  3. This package contains Kernel Debug files for OS/2 for Windows ServicePak
  4. XR06300 which may be used for low-level debugging of complex situations such
  5. as system development and device driver development. We recommend higher-
  6. level debuggers such as the IBM PM Debugger (IPMD) for Application level
  7. debugging.

  20. Creating Kernel Debug Diskettes

  23. Download the disk images and use the image utility LOADDSKF to create the
  24. diskettes.

  26. Installing the Kernel Debug files

  29. For further instructions on installing the debug files, see the README
  30. file included on Debug Diskette 1 or the section on "System Debug
  31. Support" in the Getting Started book that comes with The IBM Developer's
  32. Toolkit for OS/2 version 2.x. Additional details on the debug kernel can be
  33. found in the online Debug Kernel Reference in the Toolkit Information folder.

  35. Note: Before installing the debug kernel you must have installed OS/2 for
  36.       Windows ServicePak XR06300. You can only use debug kernel files
  37.       with the version of the OS/2 operating system with which they
  38.       are associated.
