  3. This package contains Kernel Debug files for OS/2 2.11 which can be used
  4. for low-level debugging of complex situations such as system development
  5. and device driver development. We recommend higher-level debuggers such
  6. as the IBM PM Debugger (IPMD) for application level debugging.

  19. Installation Instructions
  20. -------------------------
  21. Download the disk images and use the image utility LOADDSKF to create the
  22. diskettes. For further instructions on installing the debug files, see
  23. the README file included on Debug Diskette 1 or the section on "System Debug
  24. Support" in the Getting Started book that comes with The IBM Developer's
  25. Toolkit for OS/2 version 2.1. Additional details on the debug kernel can be
  26. found in the online Debug Kernel Reference in the Toolkit Information folder.

  28. Note: Before installing the debug kernel you must have installed OS/2 2.11
  29.       or OS/2 2.1 ServicePak XR06200. You can only use debug kernel files
  30.       with the version of the OS/2 operating system with which they
  31.       are associated.
