IBM COMMUNICATIONS MANAGER/2 (9-21-92)
The CM product SYMbols files are used with the Kernel Debugger as an aid in
debugging the product software.
These SYM files are packaged on this diskette with the required installation tools
to assist you in preparing your test environment.
The SYM files are contained in three distinct ZIP bundles, and installed using the
INSTSYM.CMD file provided, which invokes the PKUNZIP2.EXE file to unZIP the
selected bundle(s).
The SYM bundles available for installation into the designated CM subdirectories
are as follows:
1. SYMBASE.ZIP bundle supports the SingleUser product,
and is also the required base for the Client/Server product.
Subdir: d:\CMLIB and d:\CMLIB\DLL for product SYM files
d:\OS2\DLL for WMS SYM files
2. SYMCLNT.ZIP bundle required to be installed after the installation of the
required base (SYMBASE) to provide support of the
Client environment for the Client/Server product.
Subdir: d:\CMLIB and d:\CMLIB\DLL for product SYM files
3. SYMSERV.ZIP bundle required to be installed after the installation of the
required base (SYMBASE) to provide support of the
Server environment for the Client/Server product.
Subdir: d:\CMLIB and d:\CMLIB\DLL for product SYM files
INSTALLATION

Note: The drive specified is the drive that the SYM files will be installed on.
The files will be places in the appropriate CM product subdirectory.
If the drive (d:) specified for the installation of the SYMBASE bundle is not

d:\OS2\DLL subdirectory just created to the corresponding subdirectory on the
boot drive (C:\OS2\DLL).
