you choose to continue using it after 30 days. The registration
fee is currently $15 US for individuals or $35 for a server-wide

NOTES: The file NWCALLS.DLL that was shipped with some versions of
the OS/2 requester failed to include certain functions that BMR uses.
The DLL included in the version 1.0 distribution ZIP file was from
the Novell's developer kit and had the functionality BMR needs, but
failed to function properly under all circumstances.
We have tested BMR with the OS/2 Requester v2.01 and all seems to be
correct. The OS/2 version of Salvage still traps, but this is now
obviously a Novell problem. Use the DOS version in a DOS box.
The NWCALLS.DLL we tested with is dated 1/27/93. This is what
we recommend you use.
NOTE that the NSD v2.02 is OBSOLETE. The version number is misleading,
the full release requester v2.01 supersedes the v2.02 NSD; the 2.02
release was just a patch.
THERE IS NO DLL SUPPLIED WITH THIS RELEASE. BMR REQUIRES VERSION 2.01
OF THE NETWARE OS/2 REQUESTER.
KNOWN BUGS AND STUFF
====================
o If the mode button is cycled too quickly, BMR sometimes crashes. This
is under investigation. The solution: Let BMR build the user list-box
before changing to the next mode.
FIXES/ENHANCEMENTS in Version 2.0
=================================
o It's multi-server! Messages are received from all attached servers, and
can be sent to all known users.
o Server consoles are displayed as (SERVERNAME) rather than the old
(CONSOLE) format.
o User box should now list all users from all servers, one server, or all
unique names. See the BMR.DOC for more detail.
o Received messages can be identified as to which server they came from.
o A refresh has been implemented. A small refresh button has been added
to all 5 BMR modes, which acts like the Mode Select button. This causes
the user box to be refreshed.
o Auto refresh has also been added. This refreshes the connection list and
user list in the background.
o A periodic beep has been added if messages are received while BMR is not
in the foreground. Also, if BMR is minimized to the desktop, the icon
will flash and display the number of messages received since the last
time BMR was active.
o There is a Recall-Last-Line key (F12) which displays the last message
BMR received
o There is a privacy mode (F11) which blanks the BMR window to hide it from
'prying eyes'
o There is a new environment variable for the BMR.INI file. Use
SET BMR=x:path (i.e. SET BMR=C:\UTILS). The BMR.INI file will go in
this directory. If the variable is not specified, the INI file will
go in the current directory.
o By popular request, The options dialog has been redesigned using groups
of radio buttons rather than 3-way check boxes.
o We have re-structured the dialog boxes in modes 3, 4, and 5. This
arrangement of buttons is hopefully for intelligent.
o Modes 1 and 2 have been switched so that BMR 1 gives mode 1 instead of
mode 2.
o We had severe problems resetting the CASTOFF/CASTON mode when exiting,
so we now set all connections to CASTON on exit. This was necessary
because we could not track all status changes as the user logs in and out
of servers.
