Introduction
------------
Hi. Assuming everyone is like me, i.e. I use the program first,
read the documentation second, I recommend you at the very
least read the following sections in 10000.inf:
o "How to Play" under "Using 10000" (so you know how to play)
If you are upgrading/replacing a previous version:
o "Versions" under "About 10000" (for fixes info)
If you are having problems starting/using 10000:
o "Common Questions" under "About 10000" (for Q&A)
Program Description
-------------------
10000 is a challenging dice game for OS/2
that features up to six human or computer
players, sound, real time game commentary,
and full on-line help.
10000 is Shareware - $15. Registration is required if you
use the product for longer that the standard 30 day trial
period. I would also greatly appreciate user feedback to
my Internet/Compuserve ids. (Please see below) Please use
ORDER.FRM for this and other fine products from Everett Barnes
you may wish to register/order.
10000 requires VROBJ.DLL v2.1c, dated 6/6/95, available
in TENFUL.ZIP, but not in TEN.ZIP
10000 files
-----------
10000.EXE 10000 executable
10000.INF 10000 off-line informational book
10000.HLP 10000 on-line help file (Press F1 in 10000 to access)
README.TXT This file
ORDER.FRM Registration form
FILE_ID.DIZ Short description of 10000
INSTALL.CMD Installation program
TEN_FOLD.ICO 10000 Folder icon (used w/install.cmd)
TEN_INF.ICO 10000 Book icon (used w/install.cmd)
VROBJ.DLL VX-REXX Runtime DLL (place in \10000 subdirectory, LIBPATH, or
X:\OS2\DLL where X is the drive in which
OS/2 is installed)
If you do not have this file, or downloaded the ZIP without
VROBJ.DLL contained within it, VROBJ.DLL can be found in
GO WATCOM on Compuserve or on most OS/2 Bulletin Board Systems.
10000 requires version 2.1c of the DLL.
Installation
------------
To install 10000, place the unzipped files in whatever directory you
wish (perhaps C:\GAMES\10000). Next do one of the following:
o Open the file folder for the 10000 subdir and double-click on INSTALL.CMD
o Open an OS/2 Window, change to C:\GAMES\10000, then type INSTALL.CMD
The install will do the following:
o Create a 10000 Folder with your 10000 essential icons
The installation program and 10000 both require that the OS/2 REXX support
be installed. If REXX support is not installed, you will need to do an OS/2
Selective Install and install REXX support before installing 10000.
Note: If you are upgrading from a previous version of the program, make sure
that the old version of the program has been shut down before running
the installation program.
If for some reason the 10000 program objects should be "accidentally"
deleted, re-run Install.cmd
Starting the program
--------------------
Open 10000 folder, double-click on 10000.
