This is Slash 4.1.2-8 beta
Not all monsters have new faces, dont be afraid if you see an Archon or
Ogre Lord early in the game, the new tiles are simply not done yet
Please remember this is an early release, bugs could occur whatever your
are doing, try to recreate them and tell me when and how these bugs appear.
I added the patch for Nethack 3.2.1->3.2.2 in this release. This can
introduce new bugs. But hopefully it does not.
My E-Mail Adress:enhorn@Wirtschaft.TU-Ilmenau.De
Please alse send me some comments to the following questions:
1.I also gave the new classes weaponskills.
What do you think the new classes should have?
2.Which new weapon should belong to which skill?(esp. light & darksaber)
3.Shall I lower experience points for earlier levels?
4.How should I proceed with the monk class?
5.Should I include the wizard patch?
Suggestions from James Fraser:
1) I think polymorph control is a little too powerful. Certainly, with
doppelgangers, getting PolyCon at level 9ish makes them hundreds of
time better. Perhaps you should only be able to polymorph into monsters
you'd eaten (thus preventing polymorphing players with polymorph control
becoming all-powerful in the middle dungeons). Then, doppelgangers
could start off with PolyCon, but it would be fairly useless until
they'd slain something other than newts.
2) Perhaps resistances, instead of being "all or nothing" could be
graded. If there were levels of resistance, which you could increase in
the normal way (perhaps with some monsters conferring more levels rather
than more probability), then there would be no need for resistances to
suddenly vanish. Perhaps only an elemental could ever have 100%
resistance to an element, with non-polymorphed player only going up to
90% or something.
