  1. SLASH + NH3.2.2                                                OS/2 build patch

  3. For a clean compile, decompress this into the root directory of a Slash source
  4. tree, replacing the two .h files. (This has only been tested using the Nethack
  5. 3.2.2 sources with the Unix Slash patch.) Edit the config.h and os2conf.h (in
  6. the include/ directory) to your preferences. Run the Build.CMD OS/2 batch file.
  7. If all goes well, the compile will need no interaction, and a full working
  8. Slash distribution will be in the out/ folder.

  10. Note that this build ONLY works using EMX with the GNU make tool.

  12. This file is also included in the actual distribution, for informational
  13. purposes. (Actually, I didn't want to bother writing a different README and
  14. juggling them during the build.) ;>

  16. This is my first (sucessful) porting project. The makefile in the src/
  17. directory is a modified version of the MS-DOS Slash makefile, and is in
  18. technical terms a 'sickening mass of convoluted messiness.' Anyone who wants
  19. to clean it up, PLEASE do so. The dat/ makefile is based on the Unix one, and
  20. is much cleaner.
