  1. PREDITOR/2 Demo RELEASE 2.1

  3. INSTALLING the PREDITOR/2 Demo
  4.  
  5.    After having run P2DEMO.EXE with the -d option, the PREDITOR/2
  6.    files are located on your hard drive in the appropriate structure.
  7.    To complete the setup of PREDITOR/2, follow the instructions below
  8.    by replacing C:\CPE with the directory where you unpacked the files:
  9.  
  10.    1. Run INSTALL.CMD in PREDITOR/2's base directory (for
  11.       this example we'll use C:\CPE).
  12.  
  13.    2. Update the following variables in your CONFIG.SYS to
  14.       include the specified paths:
  15.          LIBPATH = C:\CPE\DLL
  16.          PATH    = C:\CPE
  17.          HELP    = C:\CPE\HELP
  18.  
  19.    3. Add the following variable to CONFIG.SYS:
  20.          SET CPE=C:\CPE
  21.  
  22.    4. Create a folder on your desktop with C:\CPE\CPEFLD.ICO
  23.       as the icon.
  24.  
  25.    5. Insert two program icons into the folder.  Have one call 
  26.       C:\CPE\C.EXE and label it "PREDITOR/2".  The other icon 
  27.       should call C:\CPE\PEL\MAKE_AE.CMD and be labeled "PEL 
  28.       Compiler".  Use C:\CPE\PEL.ICO for MAKE_AE.CMD.

  30.    6. Shutdown your system and reboot.

  32.    After rebooting, you should read the file README.TXT in
  33.    your PREDITOR/2 installation directory for information on
  34.    using the editor.
