  4. Q.  Are there any legal implications related to taking parts of books and 
  5. making up new ones?

  7. A.  You must adhere to the copyright and license agreement of your software 
  8. package.  Online documentation is considered software and as such, the same 
  9. licensing agreements apply to copying and redistribution.
  10.  
  11. Q.  Can I use IPF Binder to add my own information?
  12.  
  13. A. IPF Binder is not an editor but you can create a document with IBM's 
  14. Hyperwise or tagged text and IPFC.  Once they are exported to INF or HLP, add 
  15. them to your document with IPF Binder.

  17. Q.  What do I use to create additional documents?
  18.  
  19. A.  Two tools used to author IPF documents are IPFC and Hyperwise.  Both are 
  20. IBM products.

  25. 1.  Click on Document and New.  An empty window appears with the title New 
  26. Table of contents.

  28. 2.  Click on Document and Set New Title.  Type the name of your new document.

  30. 3.  Click on Document and Open INF and/or HLP file.  Each time you open a new 
  31. one the current open one is minimized.

  33. 4. Drag and drop each title with Mb2 into the empty window.  Linked topics are 
  34. carried with the original.

  36. 5. Change the order of topics with Mb2 drag and drop on the new document window.

  38. 6. Save to a .BND file.

  40. 7. Final compile is a Bind to an INF or HLP file.  Click on Document and Bind.

  47. 1. Click on Document and New.  An empty window appears with the title New Table 
  48. of Contents.

  50. 2. Title the document clicking on Document and Set Title.  Name it MyDoc.

  52. 3. Click on Document, Open INF files... and select Book1.INF.

  54. 4. Click on Document, Open HLP files... and select HELP1.HLP.  Each time you 
  55. open a new INF or HLP file, the currently open one is minimized.

  74. 13. Build your final document by clicking on Document and Bind.  Name your 
  75. document MyDoc.INF.

  77. 14. Test your book by clicking on Document, Open INF file... and selecting MyDoc.INF.
