  1. I. INSTALLATION.
  2.  
  3.    To install this product:
  4.  
  5.    - Use the program INSTALL.EXE to start installation - an installation
  6.      window will be displayed.
  7.    - Select the drive letter in the Box named Drive.
  8.    - Select the directory in the Box named Directory:
  9.      * Single click with the mouse button 1 selects the directory,
  10.      * Double click with the mouse button 1 opens the subdirectory list.
  11.      The path to the last selected directory will be shown in the entry field
  12.      named Path.
  13.    - If you wish to install the product into a new directory, you should
  14.      write its name into the entry field named Path.
  15.    - Select the push button Install to start the installation.
  16.    - If the destination directory does not yet exist, you will be prompted
  17.      for confirmation.
  18.    - Select Yes to install or No to cancel the installation.

  20. II. CHANGES.
  21.  
  22.    Following improvements and changes are introduced to the release 
  23.    2.23 ( the sign | at the left margin marks newest changes):

  25.    1. Greed (and GreedX Editor).
  26.  
  27. |     - Print option in the option File now
  28. |     - Drag & Drop support from Templates Controller (GreedX Editor only)
  29. |     - Save window size and position.
  30. |     - File Manager as sizeable window.
  31. |     - Find and change window modless
  32. |     - Confirm saving of size and position Check Box in the Settings Notebook

  34.       - New menu options in the option Edit:
  35.         - Edit - First line. It moves the cursor to the first character
  36.           of the first line.
  37.         - Edit - Last line. It moves the cursor to the first character of
  38.           the last line
  39.         - Edit - Set border string. It allows to set any strings at start
  40.           and at end of the selected text. These strings can be defined in
  41.           the Settings notebook on the page General.
  42.       - Settings notebook on the page General: a warning (a beep) for the 
  43.         definite record length between 1 and 256 characters (0 to switch off).
  44.       - Changes in the menu optin Help (Rexx books ( -, V-, O-, MCI-), OS/2-
  45.         References and Greed info files from BOOKSHELF will be showed) 
  46.       - Edit status is shoed in different colors: NEW - blue, SAV - black
  47.         and CHG red.
  48.       - Some other bugs are corrected.
  49.       - Character number in the line
  50.       - Activating of the push button Save in the File Manager after Save as ...
  51.       - Activating of the push button Free in the File Manager after Save as ...
  52.       - New subdirectory DfltFNCs with all standard FNC files.
  53.       - Reference to this directory in the Greed Folder
  54.       - New menu option 'File - Save & free'.
  55.       - File name in the title bar.
  56.       - All RexxUtil functions for Warp 4.0.
  57.       - 'Lock file' option.
  58.       - New constructs.
  59.       - Up to 10 last used files from menu.
  60.       - New Version of the Editor: 
  61.         - simultaneous edit of up to 256 files,
  62.         - File Manager,
  63.         - New Run Options: in-Storage, Trace ?r
  64.         - File Information Line at the bottom
  65.         - New settings notebook and options,
  66.         - New subdivision of menu options,
  67.         - New help and information files.  
  68.       - The Edit Information Fields at the bottom of Greed have been changed to the
  69.         Read-Only entry fields.
  70.       - Cursor position for the switch files.
  71.       - Bug in the Run option - the PMRexx for some RexxUtil functions, such as
  72.         RxMessageBox, has ended abnormally. 
  73.       - Uppercase and Lowercase menu options added.
  74.       - Ask for saving changed switch file.
  75.       - Switch button, that allows switching between two edit sessions.

  77.    2. Templates Controller - GreedX.
  78. |     - Print option in the option File now.
  79. |     - Drag & Drop support from Templates Controller (GreedX Editor only).
  80. |     - Edit template and Add template in the GreedX Editor now.

  109.       - Possibility to change current file in the Save as.. options of
  110.         Edit Template and Edit Clipboard.
  111.       - Start (call) the GreedX with a FNC-file over drag & drop.

  130.       - New directory shadow for the predefined FNC files in the Greed Folder

  133.    Known problems and bugs:
  134.    
  135.    3. 2.20 Installation bug: No desktop objects were created if Greed was installed
  136.       into the new Directory. Now fixed.
  137.  
  138.    2. 'Save as' an untitled file does not change the name of this file in the
  139.       opened File Manager. Close File Manager and reopen it to get this change.
  140.       Now fixed
  141.  
  142.    1. There is a bug in the default template for the "Rexx frame" up to release
  143.       2.11. (fixed)
  144.       The statement:
  145.          If calledAs \= "COMMAND" Then    (FALSE)
  146.       should be reversed:
  147.          If calledAs = "COMMAND" Then     (CORRECT)
