Hi!
People keep asking about this. Here's one victim's way to handle envelope
printing from DeScribe. There are two files and this readme.
The first is "envhowto.txt" for the curious without DeScribe. Never tried
export->ASCII from DeScribe before; 4OS2's LIST command showed I was get-
ting 400+ char. "lines". The "Smart ASCII" option seems to be more palata-
ble, although with 96 char. lines. Sorry if this causes you a problem.
The other is "envhowto", a DeScribe 4.0 document that includes an embedded
graphic (THANK YOU, J. von Kaenel!!!). Other than the pretty picture, this
331K file has nothing you can't find in the 31K ASCII version (except, jud-
ging from the ZIP compression ratio, an awful lot of redundant pels!! <G>).
Is this the only way to print envelopes on a dot-matrix printer? The best
way? I dunno. It's a hack that works for me on an ancient LQ-800 c.1985.
Comments, suggestions appreciated! Don't forget to set the "return address"
Group glossary item! Brian Converse
