DSDUMP 1.0
1. DESCRIPTION.
DSDUMP is a program to display and search data files under OS/2. DSDUMP will
display the data in HEXADECIMAL format, with either an ASCII or EBCDIC
translation of the data. Search strings may be entered in HEXADECIMAL,
ASCII, or EBCDIC format.
2. FILE LIST.
DDSDUMP.EXE OS/2 Data Set Dump program.
KBDVIO32.DLL Required DLL file.
DSDUMP.DOC This document.
3. INSTALLATION.
Unzip the files and place in the directory of your choice. KBDVIO32.DLL should
be placed in one of the directories listed in the LIBPATH parameter of
CONFIG.SYS.
4. KEYS -- DISPLAY DATA MODE.
U, F7, PgUp Scroll up one page.
D, F8, PgDn Scroll down one page.
S Switch to search mode.
T Toggle the display between ASCII or EBCDIC.
G Display a specific location in file.
+, G+ Go to current location plus offset.
Q, F3 Quit the program and return to OS/2.
Home Display start of file.
End Display end of file.
KEYS -- SEARCH MODE
H Search for a HEXADECIMAL string.
A Search for an ASCII string.
E Search for an EBCDIC string.
N Search again for the previously entered string
from the current location.
Q Quit search mode and return to display mode.
5. SHAREWARE SOFTWARE.
This program is copyrighted software. You may and are encouraged to copy and
share it with others as long as it is copied in its entirety unmodified an
no charge is made for it. If you find DSDUMP useful in your OS/2 environment,
please send a $5 registration fee to the address below. In return, you will
receive a lifetime registration number that is valid for this and any future
versions of DSDUMP. Registered users will receive notifications when new
versions of DSDUMP are available to be downloaded.
7. DISCLAIMER.
This software is provided to you "as-is" and without warranty of any kind,
expressed, implied or otherwise, including without limitation, any warranty
of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and noninfringement.
The user must assume the entire risk of using this software. In no event
