  2. ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ 1. Using CardBase ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ

  4.  CardBase is a very simple database that comes with DraftIT. It has a title 
  5. field and a multi-line entry field for any information you wish to store in a 
  6. record - much like an ordinary card system. The information in the multi-line 
  7. entry field can be exported to DraftIT documents or other applications via the 
  8. clipboard, using the Edit menu.

  10.  Search strings must be entered in the top left entry field. Both the title 
  11. fields and data fields of your records are queried for this string. Searches 
  12. are case insensitive, and the results appear in the list box on the left hand 
  13. side of the CardBase window. Selecting an entry in this list box displays the 
  14. record. You can add records by typing a title in the title field and then 
  15. entering any text you wish in the multi-line entry field. Select Add from the 
  16. Record menu when done. This menu also provides options for modifying or 
  17. deleting entries. NOTE; deleted entries are merely marked as such, not 
  18. physically deleted from the database files. To delete such marked entries 
  19. permanently, select the Exit and pack option when you've finished using 
  20. CardBase.

  24.    CardBase is part of the DraftIT package and therefore freeware. However, it 
  25. is only a front end and relies on the RexxBase dll to function. RexxBase is 
  26. shareware, NOT freeware. Please register it, if you wish to use CardBase 
  27. regularly. Registering RexxBase is especially attractive for ReXX programmers - 
  28. who'll get a powerful (CardBase does it little justice) and fully documented 
  29. database engine for their applications. ReXXBase is also comparatively easy to
