This document is a example of a simple newsletter layout. You can use it directly to create issues of your own newsletter... or make changes to the template so it's customized to fit your own needs and desires.
Currently, the template is setup as it might have been used for Clearlook Corporation, the original publishers of Clearlook. That's so you can follow along with the Full-Featured Document example beginning on page 29 of the Clearlook 1.1 User's Guide.
If you are trying to follow that example, here are a couple of corrections to the procedure:
Step 8 (creating the second footer) can't be done until you change the scope of the first footer as described in step 9.
And, in step 9, the Layout function is on the Design menu rather than the Edit menu.
While the example in the User's Guide has you making only one change to the template, you'll probably want to make more.
That's because, by making your changes to the template, you need to modify the various design elements only once.
Then, whenever you need a new issue, you can create a ready-to-go newsletter from the template by using the Create Document object in the Clearlook Status Window.
Some elements you might want to modify in the template include:
* The company name
* The phone and fax numbers
* The border of the heading
* The placement of the picture
* The number of columns
* The type size and style
* The page margins
And, as it suggests in the User's Guide, you will probably also want to add left and right page footers. And perhaps a company logo as well.
Then, when you create an issue of your newsletter, all you need is some content. For example:

Clearlook Status Window Provides Many Functions
The status window is primarily a container for text documents and one or multiple thesaurus objects. It also contains an object representing Clearlook's internal window list and setup window. Every opened document appears as an icon in the status window. Using the container's pop-up menus you can create additional objects and set them up for a variety of individual functions:
