  16. :p.The MLEView program allows a user to view files as a series of text
  17. lines. Any file can be viewed, but if the file does not contain
  18. only simple ASCII text then garbage will appear on the screen when
  19. the file is opened.
  20. :p.Help is available any time you press the
  21. F1 key from anywhere within the program.  Because this is context
  22. sensitive help, the help information that is displayed depends on where in the
  23. program F1 was selected.
  24. :p.For instance, you receive help for the :hp2.Options:ehp2. pull-down on the action
  25. bar when you highlight :hp2.Options:ehp2. and press F1.  However, this is not
  26. the same help that is displayed when you press F1 while the
  27. :hp2.Set colors:ehp2. choice
  28. in the :hp2.Options:ehp2. pull-down is highlighted.
  29. :p.Press Esc at any time to view the previous help window or to return to the
  30. main MLEView window if there are no other help windows active.

  158. :p.Use this window to search the currently viewed file for a text
  159. string. When the dialog is executed, the search for the
  160. argument text will begin from the current cursor position.
  161. :p.The text search operation may or may not be case-sensitive
  162. depending on the current state of the :hp2.Case sensitive:ehp2. check
  163. box.
  164. :p.To cause the search to wrap around to the beginning of the file
  165. the :hp2.Wrap:ehp2. check box must be checked. Otherwise the search will
  166. be terminated when the end of the file is reached.
  167. :p.If the specified text cannot be found the a message will be
  168. displayed.
  169. :p.Note that the dialog box does not disappear when the Enter key is
  170. pressed but that the found text is highlighted on the main window.
  171. This is so that multiple searches for the same text may be performed.
  172. To erase the window hit the Esc key or use the mouse to click on the
  173. :hp2.Cancel:ehp2. button.

  176. :p.Enter the text search argument in the edit box provided. The
  177. search is not case-sensitive unless the appropriate
  178. check box below the
  179. edit box is selected.

  182. :p.A check in this box causes the search for the text entered in
  183. the edit box above to be case sensitive. If the box is not checked
  184. then the search is performed using any case pattern that has the
  185. same letter/number/other combination as the search argument.

  189. the edit box above to wrap to the beginning of the file if the search

  210. display the text of the viewed file.

  212. and other attributes selected from this dialog. This window is
  213. independent of the font attributes currently active in the main text
  214. view window.

  222. the screen then use the space bar to highlight it and then press the
  223. Enter key to cause that font to be applied to the main window.
