  1. The two programs provided here are simple file list programs.  NUMLIST
  2. produces a line numbered ascii listing of a file, with appropriate
  3. handling of long lines and page breaks.  HEXLIST produces a listing in
  4. dump format, showing both the hex and ascii contents of the file, 512
  5. bytes per page.

  7. Both programs take two parameters:
  8.  
  9.     xxxLIST  [filename]  [output device]
  10.  
  11. If you omit a parameter, you will be prompted for it.
  12.  
  13. The output device should be fully qualified, i.e:
  14.  
  15.     \dev\LPT1   or  \dev\PRN  or  \dev\CON
  16.  
  17. Output may be directed to a file instead of a device by replacing the
  18. output device name with a filespec.
  19.  
  20. These programs are OS/2 family apps.  They can be run under DOS, or
  21. under either mode of OS/2.
