/* extended.zip readme */
This _test_ release is intended to be tested on notebook *only*. (It
should work fine in desktop systems, but it brings no benefits compared
to the regular XMouse release.)
If you have a notebook running under OS/2, I would like you to test it
(by replacing your existing mouse driver with the included xmouse.sys
one) and mailing me back (email at bottom) the result of running:
mouseset /query
(using the included version, if you were already running xmouse).
You can then reenable your previous driver (or just continue to use
that version of xmouse, if you were using it already or if it works
better than your previous driver.).
I would also like a (short) description of your notebook: brand, model,
things like that.
The purpose of this test is to find out how widely available is the
PS/2 multiplexing protocol. In more user-friendly terms, this refers
to the ability of some notebooks to support more than one mouse
simultaneously, with no special restrictions.
If many notebooks do include this feature, it may be supported in
future XMouse releases.
Thanks for your support,
Martin Lafaix <lafaix@online.fr>
