  3. This _test_ release is intended to be tested on notebook *only*.  (It
  4. should work fine in desktop systems, but it brings no benefits compared
  5. to the regular XMouse release.)

  7. If you have a notebook running under OS/2, I would like you to test it
  8. (by replacing your existing mouse driver with the included xmouse.sys
  9. one) and mailing me back (email at bottom) the result of running:

  11.   mouseset /query
  12.  
  13. (using the included version, if you were already running xmouse).
  14.  
  15. You can then reenable your previous driver (or just continue to use
  16. that version of xmouse, if you were using it already or if it works
  17. better than your previous driver.).

  19. I would also like a (short) description of your notebook: brand, model,
  20. things like that.

  22. The purpose of this test is to find out how widely available is the
  23. PS/2 multiplexing protocol.  In more user-friendly terms, this refers
  24. to the ability of some notebooks to support more than one mouse
  25. simultaneously, with no special restrictions.

  27. If many notebooks do include this feature, it may be supported in
  28. future XMouse releases.
