  6. The TEACCD1.ADD file should be added to the OS/2 2.1 CONFIG.SYS file. 
  7. The following OS/2 files should also be added to the CONFIG.SYS file.

  10. If you have previously installed OS/2,
  11.  
  12.     1.  Make sure you have the following line in your CONFIG.SYS file. If the 
  13.     line is missing, add it to your CONFIG.SYS file.

  15.     DEVICE=C:\OS2\CDFS.IFS /Q
  16.  
  17.     2.  Make sure you have the following line in your CONFIG.SYS file. If the 
  18.     line is missing, add it to your CONFIG.SYS file.

  20.     IFS=C:\OS2\CDFS.IFS /Q
  21.  
  22.     3.  The OS/2 CD-ROM device driver must be disabled. Remark the following 
  23.     line in your CONFIG.SYS file.

  25.     REM DEVICE=C:\OS2\CDROM.SYS /Q /N:4
  26.  
  27.     4.  Copy the TEACCD1.ADD file to C:\OS2
  28.  
  29.     COPY X:\TEACCD1.ADD C:\OS2 [Enter]

  31.     5.  Add the following line to your CONFIG.SYS file.

  33.     BASEDEV=TEACCD1.ADD /P:xxx /S:x /I:x /T:x
  34.  
  35.     /P:xxx  - Port address (220, 240, 260, 280, 300, 320 or 340H etc.)
  36.     /S:x    - CD-ROM fixed speed (1, 2 or 4). Omit this switch for auto 
  37.           speed setting.
  38.     /I:x    - Power Save time : H=30 sec, M=60 sec or L=80 sec. Omit 
  39.           this switch for default power save time of 360 sec.
  40.     /T:x    - Host interface type : 0=Sound Blaster, 1=TEAC I/F card 
  41.           or 2=Sound Blaster Compatible.

  43.     6.  Copy the OS2CDROM.DMD file from the OS2CDR package to C:\OS2.

  45.     COPY X:\OS2CDROM.DMD C:\OS2 [Enter]

  47.     7.  Add the following line to your CONFIG.SYS file.

  49.     DEVICE=C:\OS2\OS2CDROM.DMD /Q

  51.     Then reboot the system so that these changes can take effect.

  54. Creating an OS/2 environment for installation from a CD-ROM disk.

  56.     1.  Create two disks using INSTALL.BAT or INSTALL.CMD that came with 
  57.     the OS/2 ver. 2.1 CD-ROM.

  59.     2.  Copy the TEACCD1.ADD file into the second disk created in step 1 
  60.     above. If there isn't enough disk space, remove any .ADD files that 
  61.     will not be used.

  63.     3.  Add the following line to the CONFIG.SYS file on the second disk 
  64.     created in step 1 above.
