  1.  
  2. Comment: To install XL221 in os2 systems, the address setting on the xl221
  3.          card mustn't be setted to address C800 and port 140.
  4.  
  5. Procedure to Intall os2 driver for XL221
  6.  
  7. Case 1: Install on a existing os2 system
  8.      1. Boot up machine.
  9.      2. Open the "OS2 system folder", then open the "system setup" folder,
  10.         double click on "Device driver install". Or you can type the
  11.         "DDINSTALL" command in a os2 command prompt.
  12.      3.  Put os2 driver into drive a. Press Install.
  13.  
  14.       You have to reboot the machine to let the change take effect.

  16. Case 2: Fresh install os2 on a pc.
  17.  
  18.       1. Follow the os2 installation guide untill enter the os2 system
  19.       configuration.
  20.       2. Mark the "Install device support driver" selection, press enter.
  21.  
  22.       Put disk in drive a. press install.

  25. Case 3: CDROM install.
  26.      1. Follow the installation guide, make the copy of two disk
  27.         (installation disk and disk 1).
  28.      2. Copy the files xl221.add and xl221tst.exe from the driver disk to the
  29.         copy of "disk 1".
  30.      3. Edit the file CONFIG.SYS on the copy of "disk 1" by adding the following
  31.      line:
  32.           basedev=xl221.add
  33.  
  34.      4. Place the copy of "installation disk" in the a: drive and reboot the pc.
  35.         Proceed with the os2 installation process.
