PowerTape 4000 MC
In order for Sytos Plus to access this backup device, you
must remove the 'REM' (if it exists) from the following
lines in CONFIG.SYS:
REM DEVICE=[drive:]\[path]\SYFILES\ASPI4OS2.MCA
REM DEVICE=[drive:]\[path]\SYFILES\CMM_2GBB.SYS
Note that [drive:]\[path] represents the drive and directory
where the Sytos Plus files were installed and should already
be displayed within these statements. (Note: ASPI4OS2.MCA
is the name of the SCSI manager.)
If these DEVICE= statements do not appear in CONFIG.SYS,
you will need to add them, making sure that the
DEVICE=...ASPI4OS2.MCA statement occurs in the file before
the other DEVICE= statement.
Note: After changing your CONFIG.SYS file, you will need to
reboot for these changes to take effect.
If you receive a "Backup Device Not Responding" message
when adding this device, you will need to check the backup
device settings again after modifying CONFIG.SYS and
rebooting your system to be sure that the device is set up
correctly. To do so, run Sytos Plus after you reboot and
then choose "Utilities: Backup device setup." Verify that
the settings are correct.
