  3. This README file explains the Driver Installation and Removal and provides the
  4. latest updated information not included in the printed documentation.
  5.  
  6. (A). Please be advised that this OS/2 2.X/Warp 3.0 driver supports ISA/VL/PCI
  7.      IDE caching controllers.
  8.  
  9. (B). Driver Installation:
  10.         1. Insert the BusLogic driver diskette into the floppy drive
  11.  
  12.         2. Under OS/2 V2.X/Warp 3.0, install the driver by keying the following
  13.            command:
  14.  
  15.            [C:\] ddinstal
  16.  
  17.         3. Set the source drive letter to reflect the floppy drive containing
  18.            the driver diskette
  19.  
  20.            This command copies the file, OS2_32.ADD, from the driver diskette
  21.            to C:\OS2 directory and the config.sys is modified to load
  22.            OS2_32.ADD.
  23.  
  24.           The following lines in the config.sys are modified:
  25.           basedev = OS2_32.ADD
  26.           rem basedev = IBM1S506.ADD
  27.  
  28.         4. Re-boot the system
  29.  
  30. (C). Driver Removal:
  31.         1. During the driver installation, the original CONFIG.SYS under your
  32.            C:\ directory was renamed as CONFIG.1.  To remove the driver, rename
  33.            CONFIG.1 back to CONFIG.SYS by typing the following command:

  35.            [C:\OS2] COPY CONFIG.1 CONFIG.SYS
  36.  
  37.         2. Re-boot the system
