  9. What This Diskette Does
  10. -----------------------
  11. This diskette provides the audio driver for OS/2 users.
  12. The audio driver enables or updates the audio function of the following
  13. ThinkPad computers:
  14.  
  15.   - ThinkPad 390
  16.   - ThinkPad i Series 1720
  17.  
  18. To determine if you have to update the audio driver or not, please refer
  19. to the "Summary of Changes" section.

  43. To determine if you have to update the audio driver or not, please refer
  44. to the "Summary of Changes" section.

  46.   1. Start OS/2.
  47.   2. Insert the Audio Features Diskette for OS/2 into the diskette drive.
  48.   3. Open the OS/2 command prompt and type MINSTALL.  Then press Enter.
  49.   4. Select A: for the source drive.
  50.   5. Select "NeoMagic MagicWave 3DX Series Driver" and click on
  51.      "Install".
  52.   6. Follow the instructions on the screen to complete the installation.
  53.      Using default value for setting is recommended.
  54.   7. Shutdown and restart the computer.

  56. Note:
  57.   Make sure you have selected Multimedia Software Support in the OS/2
  58.   Setup and Installation window when you installed OS/2. Make sure you
  59.   have not selected any audio hardware during the OS/2 installation;
  60.   otherwise, OS/2 might detect your audio hardware as SoundBlaster Pro
  61.   by mistake and install the device driver for SoundBlaster Pro into
  62.   your hard disk drive.

  64.   If you had error messages during OS/2 boot, you need to uninstall
  65.   multimedia software using the Selective Uninstall program.
  66.   When you reinstall the multimedia software supported by Selective
  67.   Install program, make sure to remove SoundBlaster Pro from the
  68.   Multimedia Device Support in the system configuration window.
