Keller Group Inc.
These *.CMD REXX programs are updated versions of the voice scripts
for use with PMfax/FaxWorks OS/2 level 3.01.01 and later. If you are
running level 3.00, you should be able to use these scripts if you
download the updated 3.01.01 version of FxRx.ADR and the latest fax
hardware adapter file (in UM_30101.EXE or later for fax modems, or in
UB_30101.EXE for Brooktrout boards) from Keller's web download area
at http://www.kellergroup.com/download.htm.
Example voice prompts (*.WAV files) are also included to get you
started. These are WAVE (OS/2 Multimedia) format examples. You must
rerecord them if you switch to "native" voice format with the 3.01.01
Modem Voice settings, and you will want to rerecord the OGM to instruct
the caller to "enter the mailbox extension and # key" if you are using
the new multi-mailbox v_multi.cmd script.
Copy all files into your PMfax/FaxWorks program directory, then see
the comments in the *.CMD files for details on each of the scripts.
USAGE INSTRUCTIONS:
------------------
You must be using the program with supported voice/fax hardware to
use this script. Consult the README.DOC file for tested voice/fax
hardware and recommended configuration settings for your hardware.
Before using this script, first test your system with our built-in
voice answering machine feature by enabling "Voice" and setting the
"Answer script" to * (an asterisk character) on the Voice page of the
Settings notebook. If you are using supported voice/fax hardware
with the proper configuration settings, you can then use
"Fax/Receive/All calls" mode to answer calls, play the outgoing
message (OGM), and record a voice message (or receive a fax).
Then, to change to an advanced script, specify the full pathname of
the CMD file in the "Answer script" field on the Voice page of the
settings notebook.
NOTE: The scripts expect to find the LIB_FOD.CMD file and the Wave
audio files in the fax program (EXE) directory. The scripts also use
Wave files from the c:\mmos2\sounds directory for special effects.
