  2. ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ 1. Help for IBM ANSI Operating Mode ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ

  4. The Operating Mode determines whether the emulation can display only the 
  5. standard 128 ASCII character codes or the entire 256-character set. 
  6.  
  7. Note:  The Communications Parameters must be set for 8 data bits and no parity 
  8. for 8-bit mode to be fully operational.

  17. Select either 7-Bit or 8-Bit operating mode for the emulation.

  19. If 7-Bit is selected, the characters displayed are limited to the standard 128 
  20. ASCII character codes.

  22. If 8-Bit is selected, the characters displayed can include the entire 
  23. 256-character set of the personal computer including graphics characters.
