PHONC Version 2.0b
PROGRAM DESCRIPTION.
This program creates a list of the telephone charges for those members of
CompuServe which are using the GoldenCommPass(r) navigator. It is based on the
LOG**-**.CIS file maintained by the GCP program. There is one line per day
displayed in a listbox within the main window. By selecting a certain line, the
detailed calls of this day are shown in a separate window. The lines of the
main window as well as those of the detail window can be printed on the default
printer. Defaults for call types, timings and charges are set to the current
german values, but can be changed through a settings dialog. Weekends (Sat/Sun)
and listed holidays are taken into account automatically. A page for a foreign
network provider is supplied, which again is defaulted to the german T-Online
provider. These values are added to the calculations of local calls. Once
changed, the settings are saved in a file named "PHONC.INI" in the current path.
The program accepts two parameters: a language parameter ('/e' for english in
the moment) and the name of a log file (full path if not in the current
directory).
Some of the Setting Pages might look strange to non-german users, but this is
the way the german tariffs look like. I left them as they are for the english
version to maintain compatibility, hoping they are useable for others, too.

REMARKS.
This program is my second try of an OS/2 program with IBM's CSet++2.1
and UICL. The first version I wrote just for fun and to get used to the UICL.
I intended to leave it with this and look for another compiler.
However, as the german Telekom changed their tariffs drastically, and because
I used the program frequently, I decided to rework it. It turned out to become a
quite new version, which now meets OS/2 and UICL requirements much more.
I still think there is no relationship between the size of the runable package
and the logic of the program. This seems to be true also for the new
VisualAgeC++(r) and its IOCL. I am very interested in a discussion of this
and probable compiler alternatives.
NeverTheLess, the programm seems useable to me. I've tested it as much as I had
fun, but there might still be bugs in it. Give me a note if you find one.
Have fun!
The programm is Freeware in the current version 2.0b. Commercial use
and distribution is prohibited without my agreement.
