miniTerm v1.0b alpha5/OS2 by enigma (October 26, 1997) [term.doc]
miniTerm is a compact/feature-rich Terminal Emulator for OS/2!
· Requires less than 150k of memory & allmost no cpu usage
· Takes up very little space
· Internal Z-Modem protocol
· Donationware!
This is an alpha release, allthough all the known bugs & problems were fixed,
something might have slipped past me. If you do find a bug or experiance
problems with this program, please let me know! (contact info is at the end
of this file)
- Keys to use in miniTerm -
Alt-Z - Lists all the Alt-Keys & Stuff
Alt-C - Configure miniTerm
- Special features of this terminal program -
Alt-G - Grab a block of text, use the arrow keys to move it around
And hold Shift to make it larger or smaller.. Press enter and
Viola, you have grabbed a block of text :)
Alt-P - Paste the block of text you got with Alt-G
Alt-S - Save the block of text to a file
Alt-B - BackScroll! Something slipped off the screen? Use this!!
- Keys to use while in the Dialing Directory -
Up/Down - Select dialing entry
enter - Dial selected entry
f1 - Edit selected entry
- Z-Modem -
miniTerm defaults to using the internal Z-Modem protocol, if you'd like
to use an external one, go into the configuration editor and turn the
"Internal Zmodem" option off. miniTerm is preconfigured to use the
"cexyz/2" protocol, which is available at
ftp://hobbes.nmsu.edu/pub/os2/apps/comm/transfer/xyz2_101.zip
- Config. info -
miniTerm defaults to loading term.cfg at startup, to have it load up
A different config file, (say, if you have 2 modems or something)
Specify it on the command line.. [ex. term.exe term1.cfg]
If the specified config file does not exist, miniTerm will put you in
the Configuration Editor so you can create a new one.
I'm sorry for the lack of documentation.. You can figure out most of the
commands by pressing Alt-Z in the term program :)
This program is donationware!
