  13. Program Function:   Automate the process of converting and merging a
  14.                       HyperAccess/5 ver 3.x dialing directory entry into
  15.                       the ZOC phonebook.

  17. Disclaimer:         You are free to use this version of MsgMgr as long as you

  25. Introduction:
  26.  
  27.     This product (HA52ZOC) will help to automate the process of converting
  28.     and merging a HyperAccess/5 ver. 3.x dialing directory entry into the
  29.     ZOC phonebook.
  30.  
  31.     Since there is no way to Export the HA5 dialing directory to an ASCII
  32.     file, nor is there any documentation on the format of the HA5.CFG file,
  33.     therefore you must 'jump through some hoops' in order to get the HA/5
  34.     directory into a format we can use.
  35.  
  36. Instructions:
  37.  
  38.  1.  Take your printer off-line (for network, disconnect from the
  39.         network printer assigned to LPT1).
  40.  2.  From within HA/5,
  41.         A.  Choose Define, View, Basic
  42.             (If any of the phone numbers end with a little arrow,
  43.                 you will need to edit that entry from within ZOC)
  44.         B.  Choose Define, Print
  45.  3.  Open the printer icon
  46.  4.  Double-click on the icon for the print job
  47.         You should now be in the 'E' editor with the dialing directory
  48.  5.  Select the menu item 'File'
  49.  6.  Select the menu item 'Save As'
  50.  7.  Select the directory where the 'HA52Zoc' program files are located
  51.  8.  Enter 'HA5DIR.IN' in the filename entry field
  52.  9.  Click on the 'Save' pushbutton
  53. 10.  Close the 'E' editor
  54. 11.  Delete the icon for the print job
  55. 12.  Close the printer icon
  56. 13.  Exit HA/5
  57. 14.  Copy the file PhoneBk. from your ZOC directory into the directory
  58.         where 'HA52ZOC' program files are located.
  59. 15.  From an OS/2 prompt:
  60.         A.  Change to the directory where the  'HA52Zoc'
  61.             program files are located
  62.         B.  Type 'HA5DIR' and press the [ENTER] key
  63. 16.  In the ZOC directory, rename your PhoneBk. file to PhoneBk.Hld
  64. 17.  Copy the file PhoneBk from the HA52ZOC directory into the ZOC
  65.         Directory
  66. 18.  Start ZOC
  67. 19.  You should now have all of the entries from your HA5 dialing
  68.         directory in ZOC
  69. 20.  You will need to 'clean up' the entries (i.e.:  if you have
  70.         separate dial strings of long distance/local dialing, you
  71.         will need to change you long distance #s to use the proper
  72.         dial string)

  75. ** NOTES **
  76.             If at any time you get a dialog box informing you of a
  77.             problem with the print process, select 'Retry' if you
  78.             not finished step 10, otherwise select 'Cancel' and
  79.             skip step 11.

  81.             If for some reason you PhoneBk is not correct after the
  82.             conversion, you can go to an OS/2 prompt, go to the ZOC
  83.             directory, delete the PhoneBk. file, and copy the
  84.             PhoneBk.Hld to PhoneBk.  This will copy your original
  85.             phonebook back to the default.
