ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ 1. Install Golden CommPass ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ
This dialog contains two entry fields that ask from where you're installing
Golden CommPass and where you'd like Golden CommPass installed.
The default is to install Golden CommPass from the same drive and directory
where the installation program was started.
The default target is to a directory called GCP that will be created on your
Drive C:
If this is OK, click on the Install button.
Golden CommPass will install itself, and create a file folder for itself and
its Usage Statistics program.
If you do not want to create a separate Golden CommPass folder, remove the
check mark from the "Install on OS/2 desktop?" box.
Note: If you want to install Golden CommPass to a hard drive other than C:
move your mouse arrow and click in the "Install to" entry field; type
over the "C" with the hard drive letter you want. Click on the Install
button and Golden CommPass will install itself.
Automating installation
ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ 1.1. Cancel Installation ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ
Are you SURE you want to cancel the installation of Golden CommPass?
If you decide to cancel the installation of Golden CommPass, you should make
sure that the target directory has not been partially updated. Please remove
all files from the target directory before attempting to re-install Golden
CommPass.
ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ 1.2. Bypass CONFIG.SYS ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ
You have selected to bypass the automatic update of your CONFIG.SYS file.
ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ 1.3. Installation Complete ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ
Golden CommPass installation has completed.
If any errors were detected, you should review the INSTALL.LOG file in the
directory where you are installing Golden CommPass.

ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ 1.4. Install Problem ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ
Golden CommPass installation program cannot locate the GCP210.EXE file in the
directory that you supplied.
ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ 1.5. Directory not found ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ
The Golden CommPass installation program cannot locate the directory you have
specified as the target.
Select YES to create the directory.
Select NO to to return to the installation program to specify a new directory.
ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ 1.6. Overwrite existing file ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ
Enter YES to replace this file on your hard disk. Enter NO to skip the
installation of this file.
Warning: Entering YES may cause irreplaceable loss of data.
ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ 1.7. Update LIBPATH ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ
Golden CommPass may not be able to locate the Dynamic Link Libraries (DLLs)
that are required for correct operation of the program.
OS/2 typically includes the current directory at the beginning of the LIBPATH
statement in your CONFIG.SYS file. The Golden CommPass installation program was
unable to find this entry.
You can find your CONFIG.SYS file in the root directory of your boot drive.
Please update the CONFIG.SYS file to include the following entry, or to include
the Golden CommPass target directory in the list of directories to be searched.
LIBPATH=.\;
ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ 1.8. Update COM.SYS ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ
Golden CommPass was not able to locate a serial communications driver in your
CONFIG.SYS file. This is required for the correct operation of the program.
OS/2 typically includes the default COM.SYS device driver on a DEVICE statement
in your CONFIG.SYS file. The Golden CommPass installation program was unable to
find this entry.
You can find your CONFIG.SYS file in the root directory of your boot drive.
Please update the CONFIG.SYS file to include the following entry, or to include
the Golden CommPass target directory in the list of directories to be searched.
DEVICE=d:\OS2\COM.SYS
You will also need to verify that this file exists in your OS2 directory on
your boot drive.
Note: Additional customization will be required if you are using COM3 or COM4.
Please see the Golden CommPass manual for additional information.

The installation program was unable to create a Golden CommPass folder on your
OS/2 desktop.

The installation program was unable to create a Golden CommPass program object
in the Golden CommPass folder on your OS/2 desktop.

ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ 1.11. Create Usage Statistics program object ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ
The installation program was unable to create a Usage Statistics program object
in the Golden CommPass folder on your OS/2 desktop.

ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ 2. /SOURCE= ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ
Install Golden CommPass from the directory specified. You must enclose the
path in quotes.
ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ 3. /INSTALL= ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ
Install Golden CommPass in the target directory path specified. You must
enclose the path in quotes.
ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ 4. /NOPROMPT ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ
Do not prompt user. Take all defaults.
ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ 5. /NODESKTOP ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ
Bypass creation of Golden CommPass objects on OS/2 desktop.

possible to install Golden CommPass automatically.
