ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ 1. Main Window ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ
The main window consists of five major views:
The title bar
contains name, size and last write date of the file, currently selected in
the file listbox.
The file listbox
is used to show the contents of the current directory as well as directory
names. Directory names are always displayed in alphabetical order. For
ordinary files, you can set the sort order in the options menu. It is also
possible to specify a file selection mask using the Filter Dialog. When
clicking the right mouse button, a popup menu similar to the file menu will
appear.
The subjects line
is used to show the .SUBJECTS extended attribute. It represents the short
format catalog entry of the current file.
The history and keywords line
is used to show the .HISTORY and .KEYWORDS the extended attributes. This
line lets you review when and from which forum the current file was
downloaded. You 'll also see, which keywords are assigned to this file.
The comments window
is used to show a brief description of the current file. This is the same
text you 'll find in the long format catalog entry of this file. It is
taken from the .COMMENTS extented attribute.
ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ 2. About Download Info ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ
GCP Download Info
This programm was intended to use with the Golden CommPass CIS offline reader.
The CommPass is able to store additional information about downloaded files in
OS/2's extended attributes. Since I couldn't find a browser for those
information, I wrote one.
To use it, you should create an program object, preferable in the CommPass
folder, and set it's working directory to your download path. Please make sure,
that the Save download description in EA option in the CommPass settings
notebook, page Catalogs, is enabled.
If you find this program useful, you may send $8 to:
