  12. INTERFACE FOR COMPUSERVE

  14.       McHENRY, Maryland, June 25, 1991--The TAPCIS(tm) automated
  15. program for accessing the CompuServe Information Service is now
  16. available with an OS/2 Presentation Manager interface. TAPCIS/PM takes
  17. full advantage of OS/2's multi-threading capability and Presentation
  18. Manager's graphical user interface to make accessing CompuServe Mail
  19. and Forums easy and cost effective.

  21.       TAPCIS/PM includes all of the DOS version's features that allow
  22. CompuServe users to read, type, and think offline while charges are not
  23. mounting. It can index and view multiple message files simultaneously.
  24. The built-in editor allows users to ask questions and participate in forum
  25. discussions and private mail without learning CompuServe commands.
  26. All CompuServe delivery methods are supported--private mail, binary
  27. files, return receipts, worldwide FAX, laser printed postal letters, Telex,
  28. and gateways to MCI Mail, Internet, and others. Message forwarding,
  29. replying, saving, and printing are included as well as new features such
  30. as full "threading" of original messages and replies, bookmarks, and a
  31. view of forum sections and subjects that lets the user select any message
  32. at which to begin reading.

  34.       TAPCIS/PM is an ideal way for OS/2 users to access the new
  35. IBMOS2 Forum on CompuServe. In addition to the message management
  36. features, TAPCIS/PM also includes file libraries where the user can
  37. choose which files to download from the CompuServe libraries. Once
  38. chosen from the library catalog, the files are downloaded automatically
  39. at maximum speed and with no user intervention. TAPCIS/PM can also
  40. prepare scripts for uploading files to CompuServe forums.

  43. based user interface of TAPCIS for DOS. This interface is compliant with
  44. IBM's System Application Architecture (SAA) and conforms to the
  45. specifications for Common User Access (CUA). TAPCIS/PM provides a
  46. seamless interface to TAPCIS by switching to the DOS compatibility
  47. mode of OS/2 to send and receive messages and files from CompuServe.
