  3. Internet by the Author. THD212_0.EXE (the official distribution archive)

  8.          This archive contains THD212_0.EXE which is the "official" 
  9. distribution archive of THD ProScan Version 12.0 [OS/2]. It has been enveloped
  10. in a Zip Archive to comply with the distribution policies of Simtel for 
  11. distribution on the Internet.

  20.                   THD ProScan v12.0 [OS/2] Finally an OS/2
  21.                   native version of the popular Archive/File
  22.                   Processor. New features include the ability
  23.                   to decompress compressed executable files
  24.                   using UNP v4.11 as well as the ability to add
  25.                   external (and internal) archive definitions
  26.                   and external scanner definitions. Includes
  27.                   THDTERM for processing entire directories
  28.                   and THDPLUS for BBS updates.
  29.  
  30.     Status - THD ProScan Version 12.0 is a freeware product on which the
  31.              author will accept donations (hardware or monetary). This copy
  32.              of the program is freely distributable by all means. It is
  33.              "preferable" (where allowed) that only THD212_0.EXE be
  34.              distributed, without the ZIP envelope or this README.TXT.

  56.     Program Availability
  57.          - It is intended that all future versions of THD ProScan [DOS] will
  58.            be available on the internet at SimTel/msdos/virus/thd_12_0.zip
  59.            (subject to change).
  60.  
  61.          - The OS/2 Native version "should" be available on Simtel mirror
  62.            sites at SimTel/os2/virus/thd212_0.zip (subject to change).

  64.          - Recently releases have tended to be made "about" every 10 months.
  65.            By that logic, Version 12.0 is "expected" to remain current until
  66.            at least September 1996 (VERY subject to change).

  68.          - The newest version of THD ProScan is always available by
  69.            FREQing THDPRO [for the DOS version] or THDOS2 [for the OS/2
  70.            Version] from any of the following sites.

  84. Systems marked with the Fido address inside "*" marks allow freqs ONLY from
  85.      systems in the current Fido nodelist.
  86. All systems support a minimum of 14400 v32 bis. 
  87. No sites are obligated to continue their support and "could", in future, opt
  88.      not to distribute the files. All File REQuests should be preceded by a
  89.      note to the prospective sysop to ensure the file is still being
  90.      offered.
