  1. Quick start and notes.  Formal help and doc's will be made available
  2. at a later date.

  4. 1. THE V7NL.DLL IS NOT COMPATABLE WITH THAT DISTRIBUTED WITH SOB
  5.    V1.00 MAKE SURE THIS ON IS PLACED IN A SEPERATE DIRECTORY. DO NOT
  6.    HAVE SOBNLE AND SOB ACTIVE AT THE SAME TIME BECAUSE OF THE
  7.    DIFFERENCES IN THE TWO DLL FILES. The executable & DLL is a bit bloated
  8.    as was compiled with the debug option on. Release code will be 
  9.    smaller.

  11. 2. When the nodelist editor is complete, SOB will be updated to use
  12.    the new V7NL.DLL and both will share the same ini file.  At the 
  13.    same time, I will release documentation for using the DLL.

  15. 3. In the configuration menu, the nodelist name is the name your
  16.    compiler prepends to the .NDX and .DAT.  Typically this name is
  17.    NODEX.  If you enter a home zone and net, a list of the nodes in
  18.    that net will be created.  The home zone and node is not
  19.    mandatory.
  20.  
  21. 4. When you delete or update a node, and that node appears in more 
  22.    than one window, each of those windows will have that node
  23.    deleted, or reflect the changes made.  If you add a node, and 
  24.    there is a window open for the new nodes net, the new node will 
  25.    appear in it's net window.

  27. 5. There will only be one instance of an Admin window per nodelist.
  28.  
  29. 6. Double clicking on a Zone in the Admin window will open another
  30.    window listing the "Zone" independent nodes for that zone.  
  31.  
  32. 7. Double clicking on a Region in the Admin window will open another
  33.    window listing the "Region" independent nodes for that region.

  35. 8. Double clicking on a nodes entry with the left mouse button will 
  36.    invoke the edit dialog.
  37.  
  38. 9. Pressing the right mouse button on a nodes entry will cause a 
  39.    popup menu to display.  This popup menu allows you to enter a
  40.    new node, edit or delete the node you clicked on, or refresh the
  41.    list of nodes in the list.

  43. 10. Optimized non-index (ie; system name, location, etc...) searches.
  44.    On my system SOB took approx 35 secs, to search the entire
  45.    nodelist. This has been improved to take only 10 seconds.

  47. 11. Option to select a font to be used in the list windows.

  49. Suggestion and bug reports are most welcome either via netmail or
  50. OS2BBS echo.
