BULLETRON TUTORIAL
Bulletron is very easy to use. Bulletron Professional BBS systems are
organized as a collection of "sub-boards". You have a main system
prompt, which is "What next?". From this prompt, you use the "B"
command to select a sub-board. Each sub-board (they may be called
"sections" also) has its own set of messages and file directories.
Some of the sub-boards are read-only; some will allow you to post
public messages or start conversations in public messages. Some
sub-boards have many file directories and some have few or none.
The sub-boards that you can access depend on your access level. If you
are a first time caller, then you will probably have a low access level.
The system operator will boost your access level when he calls you up to
verify your application for access. Most systems require you to become
a paid subscriber before you can have unlimited access to everything.
Use the "$" command to read instructions on how to subscribe.
The full user manual for the system is on-line in the form of help
messages. When you return to the main system prompt, enter "HELP" to
begin reading it. Set your communications program to capture your
session to a disk file so that you can print it out and refer back to it
later. Don't be afraid to try different things on the system. You can
not break it. The worst you can do is make it disconnect your call, and
then you will have to call back in.
