*** IMPORTANT - READ THIS ***
Note: The RIP graphics screens are not yet drawn as of this
date. If you select RIP graphics when you log on, the
system will automatically fall back to ANSI, then to
straight black and white ASCII. The ANSI graphic color
screens are finished and installed on this demo.
Leave comments for SYSOP at WORLDSYS - (503) 661-3578.
Thanks.

Oracomm-V8 Demo
---------------
In this file, you received a fully functional copy of
Oracomm-OS/2. The only restrictions on this demo version are that
it only allows you to create 25 user accounts and 250 messages, and
that wide area networking has been disabled. With it, you will be
able to run one user session through your COM1 or COM2 port, plus a
second session on your local console. Your users will be able to
download, upload, send messages to each other, chat with each
other on-line, use outside features (doors), matchmakers,
databases and all the other fine features of Oracomm-V8. You have
received a complete set of documentation in a file named
"SYSOPMAN.NEW". You will not be able to network with other
systems, because all demo copies have the same serial number and
it is not possible to build a message routing table if more than
one system in a network has the same serial number (the serial
number is part of your network address).
To start your program, from an OS/2 2.1 protect mode prompt,
execute the command,
BBS2 ALL NOMODEM
Your system will be fully operational at that point. You
need do nothing more.
To log on using your local console, press your "F2" key, then
ESC. Pressing the "F2" key brings session 2 to the foreground.
You could also have used "F1", for session 1, and accomplished the
same thing. When the system asks you for an account code, enter
"SYSOP". Your password is "TEST". When you're done looking
around, use your "HOME" key to bring the Control Window back to
the foreground, and enter "Q" to shut down the system.
When you are ready to run with a modem, connect a Hayes
compatible modem to your COM1 port and enter,
BBS2 ALL
Print and study SYSOPMAN.NEW. Plan to spend about a week on it.
You are welcome to use this demo forever, if you wish. It is
absolutely fully functional, aside from the minor restrictions
mentioned above. If you decide you want more, then we offer the
following options:
1 Phone Line / 2 Users ................... $ 149
2 Phone Lines / 3 Users .................. $ 249
4 Phone Lines / 5 Users .................. $ 399
9 Phone Lines / 10 Users ................. $ 799
16 Phone Lines / 17 Users ................. $ 1,295
32 Phone Lines / 33 Users ................. $ 2,295
48 Phone Lines / 49 Users ................. $ 3,195

Please use ORDER.TXT to order your own Oracomm-OS/2.
All of the above configurations can be made LAN capable,
meaning that you can run multiple copies on LAN, giving you up to
223 times the capacity of a stand-alone system. The LAN version
can be used without a local area network, if you wish to access
the BBS messages, user account records, file descriptions, etc.,
with programs you develop yourself. There is an additional
charge of $200 for the BBSRVR module that allows file sharing
over the LAN. The LAN version is not needed for just logging on
over the LAN.
Custom versions are available at a labor charge of $95/hr,
or $495/day for jobs more than 12 hours. Contact us for estimates
or ordering at:
