Node Request Wizard v 1.03
Release notes
--------------------------------------
NOTICE: This freeware program is intended for use exclusively by Moscow
(net 5020) system operators. Others should rely upon themselves when
filing their node requests, or enhance this program by modifying its
source code.
Introduction
------------
Welcome to the Node Request Wizard, an quick and easy tool for creating
node request forms. This program is completely freeware, distributed with
source code in the hope that one may port it to a different OS, fix its
bugs, or "localize" for usage within another network.
Requirements
------------
A 80286 or higher PC, with Microsoft or IBM OS/2, version 1.21 or higher.
The Presentation Manager is required - this is a GUI application.
Running
-------
Simply unpack NODEREQ.EXE and NODEREQ.INF in the current directory and
launch NODEREQ.EXE. From within any place in the program, an online help
is available; press F1.
Problems
--------
The only bug which was discovered during our "quick and dirty" testing is
a glitch with OS/2 v 1.3 IPF: after pressing F1, two instances of help
pop up and you need to press ESC to remove the "Help for Help" window.
Source code
-----------
The source code for this program is available in a separate archive. To
rebuild it, one may need the following tools:
- Microsoft BASIC Compiler v 7.10
- Microsoft Macro Assembler v 6.00
- IBM Developer's Toolkit for OS/2 Warp
You have a royalty-free right to distribute and modify the source code.
